International Fireworks Competition 

DESCRIPTION: Global Fest 2010, Calgary’s festival that combines an International Fireworks Competition and pavilions that celebrate and showcase Calgary’s rich cultural heritage. This is two festivals under one umbrella, the Calgary International Fireworks Competition and One World Festival. We are scheduled to help out at the fireworks competition.

RESPONSIBILITIES: One World International Cafe / Beer Gardens Area And the VIP Village

***we will assign you to these areas as desired - you will be in the same area for each shift as each area will have individual orientations and different area supervisors, and a different t-shirt color. Thanks so much for volunteering.

Germany  Friday, August 20

Italy  Sunday, August 22

Portugal  Tuesday, August 24

Spain  Thursday, August 26

Finale Saturday, August 28

Sign up for what fits your schedule - multiple days are encouraged, (and
easier for us to assign) though not required.
TIME: tentatively 5:30 pm - 10 or 11 pm
PICK UP (your parking passes/t-shirts and hear intros) PARTY and ORIENTATIONS:
Aug 8 at 1-2:30pm or Aug 10 6-7:30pm
LOCATION: A park in the South East
SIGN UP DEADLINE: Orientations are Sunday Aug 8 & Tuesday Aug 10 - so sign up ASAP so we can get as many as possible to the orientations, and give Globalfest a list of names for the nametags and site passes
