Single Volunteers of Austin is made up of energetic single people with something in common - we're looking to do some good for our community. Many of us are experienced volunteers, and many are new to it. One of the benefits of membership in SVA is that we offer a wide array of volunteer opportunities to our members. For example, we staff auctions, festivals, and fundraisers, prepare meals, answer phones, do outdoor cleanups, paint, help with mailings, etc. And because we work as a group, volunteering through SVA also allows its members to interact socially while volunteering. SVA as a whole has become very active in the Austin community. As a result of its activities, SVA is developing a wonderful reputation for meeting the needs of many community service-oriented organizations in our area.
