Event Leaders

Our Event Leaders (also referred to as "Project Leaders") are members that play an important role in the organization.  For any particular event, they help to ensure that we provide the right number of volunteers needed, and that these volunteers are in the right place at the right time, and are ready to perform.  Event Leaders are those members of SVA that want to take a more active role in their volunteer work.  To become an Event Leader, they undergo a brief training/mentoring program or have enough experience in volunteering through SVA that they would be very comfortable leading events.

Once assigned to a project, the Event Leader will contact the community service-oriented agency, make a list of expected SVA participants, take attendance at the event, observe and help direct our volunteers' efforts, and determine the social activity to take place afterwards.  For more detailed expectations and guidelines to help you lead a successful SVA event, please consult the "SVA Event Leader Guidelines"

If you're interested in being an SVA Event Leader or contact person, fill out this form: Be an SVA Event Leader or contact person

Following an event, the Event Leader will be sure to Submit an Event Leader Report.
